About
Greetings!
I am a first-year PhD student at the Division of Landscape Architecture, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), where I am fortunate to be advised by Dr. Bin Chen, PI of the Future Urbanity & Sustainable Environment (FUSE) Lab.
I develop methods to evaluate, interpret, and improve large language models and geospatial foundation models, with a focus on reliability, fairness, and alignment with human and societal needs. I apply these methods to spatial and environmental domains, including environmental hazards, urban systems, and public health.
Broadly, my work sits at the intersection of AI for Science, Trustworthy AI, and AI for Social Good, with the goal of building AI systems that advance scientific understanding, support decision-making under uncertainty, and inform more equitable environmental planning and public-sector applications.
- Environmental Hazards & Health: measuring human exposure to and health impacts of heat, air pollution, wildfire, flooding, and compound hazards.
- Urban Environments & Social Equity: spatial perception disparity, mobility and air pollution, urban renewal, and healthcare networks.
- LLMs & Geospatial Foundation Models: alignment for spatial and aesthetic understanding, geospatial applications, and interpretability.
Previously, I received my M.Arch. and B.Arch. from Tsinghua University, respectively in 2026 and 2024, both with the highest distinction. I also worked as a research intern at Tsinghua FIB-Lab, and as a planning and architectural intern at THUDPI and THAD, contributing to two built projects.
