About me
Greetings!
I am an incoming PhD student in the Division of Landscape Architecture at The University of Hong Kong (HKU).
I am fortunate to be advised by Dr. Bin Chen, Principal Investigator of the Future Urbanity & Sustainable Environment (FUSE) Lab. My research lies at the intersection of urban built environments, human health, and health systems. Guided by four interconnected themes, Landscape, Environments, Humanity, and Sustainability, I investigate how urbanization, climate change, and environmental transformation influence population health and the capacity of health infrastructure. I combine geospatial big data, AI, remote sensing, GIS, spatial analysis, and public health research methods to identify pathways towards healthier, more equitable, resilient, and sustainable cities.
- Health Infrastructure & System ResilienceInvestigating inequities across urban healthcare networks and the resilience of these systems under extreme weather and climate-related disruptions.
- GeoAI & Human-Centered Spatial IntelligenceApplying geospatial big data, machine learning, and multimodal AI to understand urban environments and human–environment interactions, while evaluating AI's spatial and aesthetic capabilities (ACL, 2025).
- Landscape, Urban Environments & HealthExamining how the spatial, sensory, and environmental qualities of built environments affect human physiological responses, psychological restoration, and health outcomes (BAE, 2026; FOAR, 2026).
I am a recipient of the HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship (HKU-PS). Previously, I received my M.Arch. and B.Arch. from Tsinghua University in 2026 and 2024, respectively. I graduated with the highest distinction from both programmes, and my master's thesis was selected as a Distinguished Master's Thesis. I have worked as a collaborating researcher at the National Institute of Environmental Health, China CDC and have also conducted research at Tsinghua FIB-Lab. My earlier architectural practice at Aedas and the China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG) continues to ground my quantitative research in the design and operation of real built environments.

- My first-authored paper on multisensory restoration in healthcare spaces was accepted for publication in Building and Environment.
- My first-authored paper on visual fidelity across immersive displays was accepted for publication in Frontiers of Architectural Research.

- I received the Beijing SWIFT First Prize Scholarship for the second time, awarded by the Beijing Central Axis Protection Foundation.
- I joined FIB-Lab in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University as a research assistant.
- I was named a Distinguished Undergraduate of Tsinghua University (highest honor).
